Folder

Each student will be provided with a homework folder.  Please check this folder nightly for homework assignments and important notices.  Please sign the homework sheet each night to indicate that your child has completed the homework. I will check the homework sheet on Friday and students who have completed all assignments AND have a parent signature on each day will receive a "Disney Dollar" to shop at our classroom store.

Homework

Typically, students will have the following homework:

• Reading for at least 20 minutes nightly

• Math worksheet or fact practice (about 15 minutes)

Occasionally there may be others assignments, which would be listed on the homework sheet.​

Snack

Due to our early lunch time students will have a working snack in the afternoon.  Please send in a snack that is quick and easy to eat while working.  Students are allowed to have water bottles in class throughout the day.

 

Recess

We go outside for recess whenever possible so please make sure that your child is dressed for the weather. During the winter months students must have snow pants and boots to be allowed to play in the snow.

 Birthday Celebrations 

We will acknowledge birthdays in the classroom but due to our healthy foods policy please do not send in any food items.  If birthday party invitations are being passed out at school please invite all girls, all boys, or the whole class.
